Spring Wine and Beer Fest

I went to the Spring Beer and Wine Fest on Friday. I lucked out and they had free admission from 12-2pm. I didn’t think they would have many people to open it but there was a line at noon. I walked around and met quite a few people. You’ll meet the wine and beer people in the future but here’s a couple of people you should know or will know about soon enough. I will have full posts about them soon hopefully be here is a taste.

The first person I met was Barton DeGraaf. He creates some fantastic paintings of wine and frogs. Here is the website but I tell you it doesn’t do justice for what he has created. If you are in the Astoria area he will be at the Astoria-Warrenton Crab, Seafood and Wine Festival April 23rd, 24th, and 25th 2010.

I met Cindy Anderson, Happy Hour Queen. She writes the Portland Happy Hour Guidebook and Oregon Wine Country Guidebook. They are well designed books with coupons, maps, and hundreds of listings. You can follow Cindy on Twitter at @PDXHappyHour.

I met some others but the feel good story is Happy Hour Foods. I let them tell the story later but let me say I think they will hit it big with their Mojito and Cosmopolitan grilling sauce. It was great.

More to come on these great people soon.
